Driveways & Patios in Kent

Proper sub-base, drainage and edge restraints — not a tipper-load of stone over the existing surface.

Driveways and patios built to last

For over 25 years, we have delivered high-quality driveways and patios for a varied clientele across Kent, combining durable construction with carefully considered finishes that enhance both the appearance and functionality of a property. From traditional block paving and natural stone patios to contemporary resin-bound and porcelain installations, every project is built with long-term performance and attention to detail at its core.

We believe the quality of any driveway or patio starts beneath the surface, which is why proper ground preparation, sub-base installation, drainage, and edging are central to every project we undertake. Whether creating welcoming front driveways, large entertaining spaces, garden terraces, or practical access routes, each installation is tailored to the property, lifestyle, and aesthetic of the client.

Our team manages the entire process in-house, including excavation, drainage installation, groundwork preparation, paving, edging, surfacing, and final finishes. We work with a wide range of materials and finishes, including block paving, resin-bound surfaces, porcelain paving, natural stone, and pattern-imprinted concrete, while ensuring all required SUDS-compliant drainage solutions are incorporated where necessary.

Case study

Block paving driveway + porcelain patio

  • Bexleyheath, DA7
  • 11 days on site
  • £18,400 + VAT

Challenge

Clients had a tarmac driveway full of cracks and a lifting concrete patio that was 1990s vintage. Driveway sloped towards the house and water was tracking under the front door during heavy rain. Wanted a paving solution that handled the drainage properly, plus a level patio off the back kitchen with steps down to the lawn.

Solution

Excavated driveway to 280mm, removed all old tarmac and broken sub-base, laid new Type 1 MOT in three compacted layers. Permeable Marshalls Drivesett Tegula in two-tone charcoal-and-buff, with a 6m Aco channel across the threshold tied into a new 1m³ soakaway in the front lawn. Patio: 20mm vitrified porcelain, 600x1200 graphite, laid on full mortar bed with primer, three-step natural stone descent to the lawn with integrated LED strip lighting in each riser.

Outcome

Completed inside 11 working days. Front-door flooding eliminated. Driveway hasn't moved in 4 years; clients have since asked us back for a side path and front garden landscaping.

Typical timeline

1–3 weeks for most driveways and patios depending on size and ground conditions.
